LI’TYA & Peninsula Hot Springs unite for NAIDOC

Peninsula Hot Springs and LI’TYA have joined forces this NAIDOC week to raise money and awareness for Worawa Aboriginal College, through an online auction and a number of events being held at the hot springs from Monday July 8 through to Saturday July 13.

NAIDOC Week is a national celebration, which recognises the culture, history and achievements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Peninsula Hot Springs will be offering a variety of activities for all ages and includes art workshops, tea tastings, spa product and cooking demonstrations, indigenous food options in the cafe, didgeridoo music and more.

“NAIDOC week provides an opportunity to celebrate Indigenous culture and its significant contribution and importance for life in Australia. Peninsula Hot Springs considers itself a connector between nature (hot springs in the natural environment) and people,” Peninsula Hot Springs owner, Charles Davidson said.

As part of the NAIDOC Week celebrations, Peninsula Hot Springs, together with LI’TYA and Lindenderry are hosting an online auction. The auction item includes a Natural Balance Package for two, a luxurious LI’TYA Gift Basket and overnight accommodation at Lindenderry, including breakfast and a three-course dinner for two. The
total package is valued at $1884 with all funds raised going to Worawa Aboriginal College.
