Internationally esteemed nail polish brand, OPI hosted a Barbie-themed bash for beauty media and influencers last Thursday night.
OPI is distributed by Int Beauty Supplies in Australia and is used in nail salons nationally.
The event celebrated OPI’s latest collaboration, this time with The Barbie Movie. The highly-anticipated film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is due to premier in Australian cinemas this week.
Held at Oxford House in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, guests enjoyed an eclectic cocktail party oozing with pink Barbie-inspired activations. The dress code: Barbie Best.
Guests were greeted with sparkling cocktails housed in mini disco balls. A hot pink media wall called on guests to snap a picture donning their wears, all while a pop-laden setlist played hits from the 1990s through to now.
Moving through the venue, guests were encouraged to mingle around bottles of the brand’s nine new Barbie-inspired hues, ranging from bright pop shades to glittery liquids.
A pastel pink ball pit complete with twin slides made for the perfect stage for selfies. A roller rink gave gutsy guests a go of Barbie’s favourite hobby. Seats lined an outdoor pool filled with Barbie beach balls where guests could laze with prosecco in hand.
Roaming canapes proved popular, such as halloumi and pesto burgers, and mini trays of seasoned fries.
For those eager to trial the range, a mini nail bar was set up to send guests off with the perfect manicure using shades from the new range.
All attendees were also treated to a goodie bag containing the OPI x Barbie Trio Set, a branded cup and hair brush.
