SLA Academy welcomes new Principal

Encore Beauty launched the first SLA Academy in Australia earlier this year, in Balmain, Sydney, and now welcomes the arrival of new Principal, Leanne Pagani.

Leanne (pictured) has degrees in both fashion and makeup, and has been a trainer in the makeup industry for over five years. In this time she has been the head of campus at Napoleon Perdis Academies in both New South Wales and Victoria. As well as being head of campus, Leanne has also facilitated and assessed Diploma Makeup Courses, and has been head Makeup Artist for various fashion shoots, catwalks and TV shows. She has also spent time working for high end makeup houses such as Lancôme and MAC at Harrods in London.

The SLA Academy courses cover all elements of makeup artistry and run from one month to eight full months and an internationally recognised certificate. The Academy will also offer makeup refresher courses for industry professionals and outlets currently selling the Serge Louis Alvarez range, along with one-on-one makeup lessons, and lifestyle image courses covering fashion, hair styling and makeup application skills for consumers.

On the ground floor, Encore Beauty sells the full range of Serge Louis Alvarez products to makeup artists, students and consumers. Staffed by professional makeup artists, it also offers makeovers for formals, weddings and special events.

The Academy is hosting an open day on July 17 and a course information evening on July 22. Visit www.slaacademy.com.au
