Industry Thought Leaders To Take Regional Beauty Long Lunch to Bundaberg

For the third time running, the Regional Beauty Long Lunch is set to connect beauty professionals in Australia’s most remote areas.

12 months ago, founder of KG Beauty & Modality Practical Training, Karen Geiszler hosted the first Regional Beauty Long Lunch in Tamworth NSW, five hours north of Sydney. This was followed by a second Lunch in Flaxton QLD, which is 30 minutes drive west of The Sunshine Coast.

Karen has elected Bundaberg QLD, roughly four-and-a-half hours north of Brisbane, to host the Lunch’s third event. It is set to run on Sunday, November 12 at Rowers on the River Restaurant & Function Centre.

According to the event’s ticketing site, the concept behind the event series “is to support regional therapists with education, connection and conversation.” The intention is said to provide these opportunities to therapists that might not otherwise experience them due to not living in Australia’s major cities.

Six guest speakers have already been announced for the Lunch’s Bundaberg event. Speakers include Dr Donna Lee Marcal of Dermatonics, esteemed educator Gay Wardle, industry coach Rebecca Miller, social media strategist Kayla Zigic, and Leone Goldspark of Aduro Australia and Skin Fusion Australia.

Included in the ticket price is a degustation long lunch experience, a gift bag, and entry into lucky door prizes worth over $15,000. One of the major prizes includes a 12-month membership to Rebecca Miller’s 1% Code course, alone worth over $10,000.

PB caught up with Karen Geiszler ahead of the event to learn what guests can expect:

Karen, what do you aim to achieve with your Regional Beauty Long Lunch events that large-scale, city-based events cannot achieve?

“I have had the privilege of coming to regional clinics across Australia and training some wonderful therapists. After many conversations with these therapists, the common comment I would hear is: ‘We miss out on so much as we can’t travel to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane to go to training, attend conferences or Beauty Expo’; or ‘we can’t take the whole team as we can’t afford to close our clinics for three days with no income coming in,’ especially for sole operators.

That got me thinking about how I can support regional clinic owners and therapists to feel connected and supported with what’s happening in the industry, and have the opportunity to connect with some of the industry experts that they would typically not get to connect within a relaxed, fun but still educational way.”

What topics will your elected speakers touch on at your next event in Bundaberg?

“Dr Donna Lee Marcal will enlighten us on the science of skin, covering topics such as melasma, rosacea, acne, and impaired barriers. Gay Wardle will delve into the distinction between inflammation and inflammaging. Rebecca Miller will guide guests on building their dream life and business through self-leadership. Karen Geiszler will help you master the art of the consultation experience. Leone Goldspink will showcase the future of skincare through LED light therapy. And Kayla Zigic will reveal the secrets to creating captivating content.

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired!”
