Look Academy has announced the launch of its 8 week Introduction to Professional Makeup Artistry (LA 8). A course aimed at hairdressers and beauticians who wish to extend their skills to professional makeup artistry for the fashion, advertising, film and TVC industry and add to their services and profit.
The academy was originally founded as a division of Look Management and Production, Australia's first specialist agency for professional industry hair makeup artists and stylists. Today it is a stand alone academy with studios in Sydney and Melbourne offering specialist industry makeup courses taught by leading creative industry makeup artists.
LA 8 is an intensive, practical course providing the solid foundation skills required within the industry. Under the experienced guidance of leading industry professional makeup artists, students will be introduced to the world of makeup application suitable for fashion, catwalk, bridal and special occasions.
Each module is taught within an industry context and taught by leading hair and makeup artist tutors with current careers at the top of the industry.
The LA 8 course teaches makeup artistry skills as well as the inside line on what it takes to make it in the industry. It is a course, designed by the industry, about the industry and taught by the industry.
Course Locations: Central Sydney and Melbourne.
Course Duration:
Option 1. Mondays x 6 hours x 8 weeks.
Option 2. Two evenings per week x 3 hrs x 8 weeks.
Min Class Size: 8 max 12.
Start Date: Mon 27th February or as soon as min class sizes are attained.
