In March 2012, Alan Earnshaw, KMS California’s Global Programs Manager travelled to Australia to present the ‘Profit or Perish’ seminars around the country.

The road show was KMS California’s initiative to educate salon owners on how to profit to win. The ‘Profit or Perish’ seminar tackled the tough issues faced by salons today. Topics covered included client retention, retail recommendation, superior service and social media.

KMS California took to the streets to ask real salon clients what they liked about their salon experience. After the ‘Profit or Perish’ seminar, the stylists were equipped with tools to profit and win in the profession they love.

“Alan’s way of taking us back through the clients’ eyes really brought us back to what really matters and that is our clients. We were taught the importance of knowing what our clients want and making sure all of their needs are met. It also made us aware of how important social media has become and that we need to be forward thinking. Alan’s infectious energy has given us all the motivation we need to bring back into our salons,” Emma Hutchings from Hennesylane Hair Design in Victoria says.
