Australasian College Broadway give Free Haircuts to the Homeless

The Australasian College Broadway have once again given back to the community when, earlier this month, 20 of its staff and students offered their services to Mt. Druitt’s homeless providing free haircuts and styling.

The Chairman and Founding Director of the College, Maureen Houssein-Mustafa OAM, said, “When we found out about Wentworth Community Housing hosting the special event for the homeless, we volunteered straight away. It’s important to show students that giving back is a necessity and should be a part of everyday life.”

Ms. Houssein-Mustafa said the students attended to 27 people on the day and organisers congratulated the staff and students on how caring and professional they were.

“It is our aim that giving back becomes second nature so that students continue this legacy when they have commenced their career out in the workforce,” she added.

Deeply embedded in their staff and student culture, The Australasian College Broadway regularly offers its services and time to charity events and community initiatives.
