At a glamorous dinner at Melbourne’s Peninsula Docklands this October, Kester Black owner and director, Anna Ross was named the winner of the 2016 Young Victorian Telstra Business Women’s Award.

As the country’s longest running women’s awards, the annual Telstra Business Women’s Awards are one of the most esteemed accolades for women in business – understandably, Ross and her team at Kester Black are very excited about the win.

Created in 2012, Anna Ross founded Kester Black, a cult-followed manicure and skincare brand with great design and uncompromising ethical values at its heart. Kester Black products boast a host of credentials such as Choose Cruelty Free, International Cruelty Free, Vegan Society, Australian Made and B Corporation.

“In business, my beliefs manifest in a drive for innovation and establishing sustainable, ethical options for the consumer,” says Ross.

The state win puts Ross in the running for the National Awards, which will be held at a glittering Gala Dinner on 16 November 2016.

“The winners of the 2016 Telstra Victorian Business Women’s Awards are brilliant, passionate and courageous women who are thriving in their chosen fields,” says Ms Joe Pollard, who hosted the Victorian event. “Not only do they have the courage to challenge the status quo but they also demonstrate exceptional business acumen and strong leadership skills.”
