Vela Days, Ere Perez and Retreatment Botanics Win The Green Edit’s Top Gongs Alongside More Salon-Stocked Brands

Winners of The Green Edit 2023 awards were announced this month, with several salon-stocked brands taking home top spots.

Announced at Sydney’s 12-Micron in front of media, retailers, beauty buyers, and spa and clinic owners, The Green Edit Awards 2023 celebrated Australia’s leading sustainable beauty brands. 

Skincare brand Vela Days won the award for Australian Beauty Product for its Active Compound CannaComplex Multi-Active Facial Serum

The Editor’s Choice Best Beauty Product went to Ere Perez’s Cosmetics Coco Crayon. And Retreatment Botanics’ AHA Glow Concentrate won the award for New Product Launch.

People’s Choice Best Body Product – Kester Black Miracle Base Coat 

Editor’s Choice Best Wellness Product – Altina Drinks Finger Lime Sauvignon Blanc

Editor’s Choice Best Body Product – Serene Body Health Deep Serene 

Over 130 products over 12 categories were tested before narrowing down to five finalist products per category. Products were trialled by Makeup Artist and Founder of The Green Edit, Cathy Tolpigin, co-founder of Nourished Netherlands, Erin Hawken, and NYC Celebrity Makeup Artist, Laura Burns.

From there, finalist products were trialed by a team of international and Australian judges before electing the winners.

Judges based their selects on the following criterion: Functionality, Texture, Durability, Packaging, Scent, Ingredients, Performance, and Social Responsibility.
