Glo-therapeutics launches Cyto-Luxe range – Phytostem Technology

Phytostems are the results of science taking the best that nature has to offer and making it even better, say Glo-therapeutics about the ingredients in their intriguing new skincare range Cyto-Luxe.

Plants have meristems, which are unspecialized cells that divide and generate new cells and tissues within the plant. Depending on the signal they receive, these cells can develop into whatever part of the plant needs to be replaced. It is important to note that these are completely safe ingredients, say glo-therapeutics. "Our plant stem cells do not alter human stem cells. Phytostem cell technology has developed the ability to inspire these cells to differentiate into the chosen plant active, which is useful for skin.

"There are multiple advantages to these types of actives. Unlike botanical extracts, phytostems are grown in a pure, completely sustainable environment and not exposed to contaminants like pesticides. In addition to the unique actives in each phytostem, there are Phytosterols, amino acids and Polysaccharides in each phytostem compound. These compounds aid in keeping skin smooth, hydrated and they encourage collagen production. These actives work in a cascade, bringing different skin benefits within hours, days and months."

Ctyo-Luxe Serum – contains Phytostem Gardenia – shown to protect the extracellular matrix and stimulate structural collagen.

Serum also contains:
Syn-axe (snake venom) a tripeptide modeled on snake venom which inhibits muscle contractions,
Matrixyl synthe 6, a lipopeptide which rebuilds the skin’s matrix, and
Goji Instalift – from the Tibetan Goji berry, which inhibits MMPs and stimulates collagen.
The result: Said to smooth the appearance of wrinkles by promoting collagen, supporting the skin and softening expression lines.

Cyto-Luxe Cream – contains Phytostem Buddleja Davidii Stems G, from the Asian Butterfly Bush, long known for its healing properties, including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, inhibits collagenase.

Cream also contains:
Derm SRC, a compound from Bamboo Silica, Pea Extract and Glucosamine HCI to increase production of collagen and elastin;
Lotus Zymbiozome – a plant based leghemoglobin, an all natural brightener.
Kombuchka – the “long life fungus” from specially fermented black tea, to improve overall skin quality.
The result: Improves aged skin with the ultimate combination of advanced ingredients. Increases production of collagen and hyaluronic acid to counteract the effects of aging skin.

Cyto-Luxe Eye Cream – contains Phytostem Loentopodium Alpinim Stems G, from the Edelweiss plant, which grows on mountain ranges, and has developed many defensive mechanisms to survive the environmental extremes, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cell-protecting properties. Additionally, this product contains:

Antarcticine – a bacterial strain from the bottom of an Antarctic glacier, which prevents skin dryness and protects the epidermis, stimulates fibroblasts; and Haloxyl, which reduces the appearance of dark under eye circles.

The result: Restructures aging skin by increasing collagen and elastin. This all-in-one eye cream targets expression lines and reduces cutaneous dryness.

With continued twice-daily use, the Cyto-Luxe trio is said to improve the health of skin cells and overall appearance of skin texture and tone.
