Babor introduce High Skin Refiner Deluxe range at Aria

Babor, the professional skincare company from Germany, treated beauty editors and media to a luxurious lunch at Matt Moran's famous restaurant Aria, to introduce its new High Skin Refiner Deluxe range.

There’s nothing quite like being treated to a lunch at Aria restaurant, overlooking the spectacular Sydney Harbour, all while sipping fine wine and mingling with friends. What’s more, it just so happened to be the day the famous Queen Elizabeth cruise liner was due for departure.

As it pulled away from Circular Quay, we all sat down and were treated to a delicious lunch. The meals almost looked too good to eat, but we all couldn't resist (especially the famous truffle mash potato).

Babor’s Donna Waite introduced us to the range, and after our entrée, Darlene Bogaert, International Trainer for Babor, who is based in Germany, presented the latest products and explained the special formulations and how they target the ageing process.

Did you know? Sugar (or glucose) actually sticks to your collagen fibres and causes them to stiffen? This, therefore induces premature ageing.
Fascinating, I know!

This process is called Glycation and the Babor products contain ingredients to put a stop to this.

After Darlene had finished explaining this process, most of us reached for the products placed on the table and started slathering them on, in the hope that we could still devour desert, without the process of glycation taking place.

For more than five decades, the Babor research team has succeeded repeatedly in setting new standards in anti-aging research. In the 1950s, Babor set new beauty standards by processing collagen and hyaluronic acid. In 1980, Babor were again on the forefront by using liposomes as ideal carriers for delivering active ingredients even more effectively to deeper layers of the skin.

The new High Skin Definer Deluxe range includes three beautiful products:

HSR de luxe ultimate anti-aging cream: this luxurious anti-aging cream with aloe vera provides moisture, while hyaluronic acid binds it to the skin. Natural oils like macadamia nut oil, almond oil and avocado oil as well as panthenol care for skin, making it supple and smooth.

HSR de luxe ultimate anti-aging cream rich: This rich anti-aging cream with shea butter for dry skin balances out the skin’s hydrolipid layer. Dry skin gets especially intense care and precious lipids from selected jojoba, almond and grape seed oils.

HSR de luxe ultimate anti-aging serum: This highly effective serum bestows a luxurious dose of precious HSR on the skin and has an especially long-lasting effect. The serum can be used as a sole treatment for sensitive combination skin or oily skin. The serum calms skin with aloe vera. Squalane strengthens protective skin barriers, while almond oil and panthenol care for skin, making it supple and smooth.

All three products contain vitamin E, which acts as an effective ‘radical catcher’, HSR Lifting Integral Komplex, HSR Telovitin, and black pearl essence.

“The new HSR Deluxe range is really the ultimate in luxury. Who wouldn’t want to put something so beautiful on their skin knowing that the wrinkles will be smoothed away? It’s a must-have for all women concerned with ageing or wanting to prevent the formation of lines,” says Donna Waite, Managing Director of Babor.
