Skin O2 was selected to attend the 2014 Arab Health Exhibition where the brand secured a 9 million export deal.
Skin O2 and 5 other Gold Coast health businesses were selected to attend the annual 2014 Arab Health Exhibition at the World Trade and Exhibition Centre in Dubai between January 27 and 30. The Gold Coast businesses who attended presented their products at the trade show under the ‘Golden City’ Gold Coast stand.
Arab Health is one of the largest exhibitions and congress in the Middle East and Asia, attracting visitors from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe. It is a key meeting place for international health professionals where they are able to network and source new products, information, research and services, and also take advantage of the education available.
Skin O2 managing director Alison Atia was thrilled to have been selected to attend and saw great success from exhibiting.
“The trade show was high quality and thoroughly enjoyable – why come to the world when the world can come to you,” said Alison.
“Our products were extremely popular at the Gold Coast stand and were head-hunted by CEOs from across the globe wanting to establish business relationships. From attending this exhibition we have established new business relationships with Thailand, Pakistan, India, Canada and as well as all across the UAE Gulf regions.”
Skin O2 returned with a large export deal in 6 regions – United Arab Emirates, Thailand, India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai/Abu Dhabi. Ecstatic for the future of her brand, Alison will be signing the 9 million international export deal soon.
Skin O2’s visit to the exhibition was funded by the City of Gold Coast’s (CoGC) business development arm and also facilitated the process with business mentoring, advice and facilitating a stand. Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said the assistant had been provided as part of the city’s international plan, which aimed to promote the Gold Coast to international investors and increase the city’s export base.
In preparation to meet the demands of this new export deal, Skin O2 is now in the process of recruiting new full-time employees and additional causal staff for warehouse operations.
