NYFW: Zoya for Zimmermann

Zoya worked with Zimmermann to create bold and sultry looks at the Fall 2014 show.

Bold, sultry and sophisticated, the Zimmermann woman was fierce and dark. The collection paraded a sea of soft blue, monochrome and dark shades. Modern tailoring and contrasting textures made ode to masculine dressing – the rougher side of the Zimmermann muse.

Zoya, inspired by the collection, created modern dark red nails with a geometric design. The team, led by Zoya creative director Rebecca Isa, painted a base of Zoya Get Even with angular swipes of Zoya Sam to create a sharp chevron nude moon – complimenting the show’s strong and structural pieces.

“At the shows test in early February, the nail look for Zimmermann was created. Inspired by the strong brow and lip the makeup teams were presenting, and the angular lines of the collection itself, lead manicurist Sunshine Outing created a unique bare (nude) chevron moon with the red of Zoya Sam at the tips. To add an even more modern edge, a matte topcoat was added over the entire nail,” said Erin Giddings, media relations officer at Zoya.
