Unique Party Monsters shoot uses Japanese Minx Nail Stylist

Japanese Minx nail stylist Kanako Shimoshige was delighted when she received a phone call from a makeup artist she had worked with on a past WWD shoot, inviting her to provide the nail styles for a unique fashion spread themed after famous monsters.

“The shoot was called ‘Party Monsters’ and sounded like such fun that I jumped at the chance to participate!” said Kanako. The shoot was produced by hair stylist Yuki Tanaka, and the photographer was Syuichi Tsunoda.

To prepare for the shoot, Kanako brought many Minx designs and colours, and also selected some additional nail products that look great when paired with Minx. However, when she arrived for the shoot, she decided to use only Minx for the photos as follows: Burgundy Chrome Minx for “Dracula"; Silver Lightning Minx for “The Mummy”; Tease Me Black and Silver for “The Mummy”; Black and White Stripe Minx for “the Invisible Man”; MinxLusion Rose for “Super Hero”; and Ruby Red Lightning for “Little Red Riding Hood”.

Kanako reported that the stylist, models and photographer were amazed when they saw Minx. “Minx is such a great product for any photo shoot because of the infinite number of looks you can achieve, and the fact that it takes such a short time to apply and does not require any drying time,” Kanako explained. “All the models wanted to keep their Minx on after the shoot!”
