Touring America with O.P.I

Last Wednesday night, August 3, O.P.I Australia treated more than 80 beauty media and industry professionals to a tour of America. Held at the historic Wollahra Post Office, the space was transformed into a US road trip to showcase upcoming O.P.I collections over the next six months.

With stops in New York City, Hollywood, Memphis, Arizona, Seattle, new Orleans, Wyoming and Hawaii, each destination represented one of the six new O.P.I collections to launch this year.

While guests waited for their complimentary manicures, they were entertained by a live jazz performer and Hawaiian dancers performing the traditional Hula.

The event came to a crescendo, as everyone stopped to watch Dakota, Miss America – a dancing drag queen dressed in an American-themed costume – take over the floor singing and dancing to Christina Aguilera’s Candyman.


O.P.I manicure stations

Bill McKendrick, the director of International Beauty Supplies, excited guests when he spoke of all the upcoming collections. He made special mention of The Muppets collection and O.P.I’s new Gel Color range, which will be available at the end of the year.


New Orleans jazz player with the new Kardashian Kolor range

OPI’s sister brand, Nicole by O.P.I, was also showcased at the event, showing off the new Kardashian range which will be available from December 1, 2011 onwards.
