The January 2013 issue of Britain’s Glamour magazine features singer Rita Ora on the cover wearing Minx nail coatings applied by New York celebrity nail stylist Michina Koide.
“Rita loves to be creative when it comes to her nails, and loves all the Minx designs,” reveals Michina. “Because the issue was focusing on spring, we wanted a colorful and fun look instead of playing it safe.”
Michina used a gel polish in 140 Violetta Darling as the base, and applied Minx Gold Lace as an overlay, finishing the look with crystal accents. As part of the “barely there” collection of Minx which features partially transparent designs, Gold Lace can be worn alone over natural or acrylic nails, but can also be layered over gel polish or other Minx coatings for an endless variety of customised looks.
“Minx allows me to be at my creative best, even with my most demanding clients, because it is so versatile and because there are always new designs and colours and graphics available,” says Michina, who recently collaborated with the company to design her own Minx nail collection available for both consumers and professionals.
