OPI opens at RAFW

OPI featured in some of the opening shows of Rosemont Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) this week.

OPI for Rachel Gilbert

Models in Lisa Ho’s 9am show sported OPI’s sheer pink, Hopelessly in Love, while at the Ginger & Smart show later that morning, models wore Tickle My France-y. Do You Lilac It sparkled at Rachel Gilbert, and the Bassike show featured Coney Island Cotton Candy.

These muted shades are right on trend for Spring and Summer, as neutrals have dominated this year’s RAFW so far. Minimally made-up, fresh-faced models strutted down the runway with swept-back hair, French buns and free flowing styles offering a fresh look.

On Tuesday, OPI's Samoan Sand featured on the nails of Camilla & Marc’s very feminine, romantic show, while Zimmerman chose a more daring style, with a Spanish influence to match their geometric designs combined with soft feminine fabrics.

OPI stylist Karon McKendrick-Taylor aimed to match the burgundy lips through layering the lacquers Lincoln Park After Dark, followed by Manicurist in Seville.

At Anna & Boy’s Wednesday show, OPI’s Gargantuan Green Grape (a vibrant pastel green) and What’s with the Cattitude (a pastel pale blue) ignited the catwalk on the 1950s-inspired models in lace-up pastel platform shoes and polka dot bikinis.

OPI is also collaborating in the following upcoming RAFW shows: Dion Lee, Fernando Frisoni, White Sands and Annah Stretton.
