CND to launch Shellac in May

Creative Nail Design (CND) will launch in May 2010 a hybrid nail colour, Shellac – the result of nearly five years of product development.

Shellac paints on like polish, with a base coat, colour and top coat. It is cured under UV light for zero dry time. The colours are hypo-allergenic, and free from formaldehyde, toluene and DBP. The colour offers 14 days of high gloss shine and is removed in around ten minutes without soaking, drilling or filing.

Shellac will launch in a range of 12 shades, from French pinks and whites, to siren red and rich darks. The formula is thin and flexible like polish, so it not only looks natural, it provides strong natural nail protection with a resilient mirror finish that resists dullness and chipping, even during the most rigorous activities.

Shellac is a professional salon service and will launch globally on May 1, 2010.

Glenn Joseph, Managing Director for CND's Australian distributor, Pacific Nail and Beauty, said:

“Pacific Nail and Beauty is excited to be launching Shellac in Australia. Shellac is a true industry breakthrough. On like polish, wears like gel, off in minutes. There’s no comparison. fourteen-day high-gloss shine that’s truly addictive. No more re-dos. Zero dry time. No edge wear. No more chips, scratches or dulling.”
