Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics has held a ‘Before & After’ Facebook competition during the summer. The competition provided the opportunity for aspiring makeup artists and salons to submit their most impressive client ‘before and after’ shot using Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics.
Carly Dabinet Makeup & Beauty Therapy in South Australia has showcased a dramatic transformation of a client with problem skin using Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics. She has won a Youngblood product prize pack valued at over $1000 and was selected over more than 80 entries.

The competition was judged by Youngblood’s head makeup artist Stacy Tsardoulias. “Youngblood is known around the world for its amazing coverage,” she says, “And we wanted to give our clients the chance to show us how they work their magic with our products.” Carly Dabinet Makeup & Beauty Therapy used Youngblood Mineral Primer and Ultimate concealer to prepare the skin. Both Liquid Mineral and Loose Mineral foundations were used for a flawless finish. This was followed by the Mineral Rice Setting Powder for extra coverage and to even out redness and skin tone. “You can imagine how happy her client was with the end result!” says Stacey.

There were three categories to the competition including flawless face, problematic skin and tattoo coverage. Two other finalists were selected, with Karla Gaudet from Beauty Queens in Western Australia for the tattoo coverage category and Sarah Sullivan from Luminessence in Victoria for the flawless face category.

The managing director for Youngblood Australia, Lisa Williams was highly impressed by the calibre of entries. “We were honestly blown away by all the entries we received and it made it very difficult to pick just one winner among so many phenomenal transformations,” she says, “We would like to thank all the salons and makeup artists who entered and hope that they continue to demonstrate such sensational work for their clients using Youngblood makeup.”
