Napoleon Unveils Trends for Autumn Winter

Leading makeup artist, Napoleon Perdis was again the makeup director of the David Jones Autumn Winter 2013 Fashion launch.

The two exclusive looks for the event focused on smouldering, tonal shades on the eyes. Cheeks are softly contoured, skin is fresh and clean, lips are neutral.

“For Autumn/Winter, I wanted to return to a richer, deeper colour palette. I love collaborating with stylist Kelvin Harries and he was very much inspired by the richness in both colour and texture throughout the various designer collections,” Napoleon says.

Napoleon created two modern yet wearable eye statements, a one-dimensional metallic in shades of grey and a deep emerald, and a tonal neutral with punch.

“The one commonality is in the depth of the fusing and blending for each eye look. I’m calling it the 2013 smoky eye. It’s not about precision but more about sheer washes of colour across the whole lid to create an intensity and mood intrigue. It’s a little bit broody, definitely sexy and perfect for the new season ahead.”
