Handbag designer launches Lash Extensions

Twenty-nine-year old Brisbane entrepreneur Jellaine Ross has developed a product fast becoming a beauty essential. Her business Cherry Blooms, famous for designing handbag organisers which made its way into the Hollywood Golden Globe gift bags this year, has introduced a new product to the beauty industry’s booming trend of eyelash extensions, with her latest product Brush on Fibre Eyelash Extensions.

Despite Australia’s tough economic times, a recent study by the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia reported Australians have spent more than $640 million in the past year to look more beautiful, with eyelash extensions being the latest hype in the booming beauty industry.

“It’s one of the biggest products to hit the beauty scene in years, and from the demand we are seeing, it will be an essential in every woman’s makeup kit,” Jellaine said. The Brisbane based product received great response at the recent International Spa & Beauty Expo in Sydney.

The Brisbane entrepreneur’s product is competing against international beauty brands but Jellaine says it’s in a league of its own, “We have demonstrated the product on thousands of women at various beauty expos and festivals this year and everyone whose tried it is amazed at the instant and dramatic results. It’s in such high demand that 1 in 3 women who try it on the spot purchase it and become fans,” she said.

“Cherry Blooms’ Brush on Fibre Lashes are changing the way women maximise their lashes, achieving longer, thicker lashes by up to 300 per cent without messy glues or false lashes. Results are achieved in an easy 60 second application and offers a safer, more cost-effective alternative to damaging eyelash extensions that salons often use.

Cherry Blooms Brush on Fibre Lashes is a three step process, with two products; the transplanting mascara gel and extension fibres. It’s made from high grade, natural beeswax which Jellaine says helps to stimulate lash growth with frequent use. It also uses black nylon fibres which are hypoallergenic and said to eliminate irritation to people with contact lenses.
