Gorgeous Cosmetics at L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival

The highly sought-after Gorgeous Cosmetics Elite Makeup Artist Team demonstrated why they are in such demand last week as they transformed runway models for ‘The Spirit of the Black Dress’, an exciting feature of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

‘The Spirit of the Black Dress’ organisers approached Gorgeous Cosmetics late last year to come on board as makeup sponsor for the event, and together worked on preparations for a grand media launch and glamorous opening gala. The event showcased creative fashion pieces from some of Australia’s most talked about up-and-coming designers, and as the name suggests, all in the style of the little black frock.

The Gorgeous Cosmetics Elite Makeup Artist Team worked alongside the events’ managing director, Jane Hayes, and the L’Oreal hairdressing team to create high fashion, statement looks for the event. Head makeup artist for Gorgeous Cosmetics, Rachel Engel, said, “The models were given a very on-trend makeup look: dewy skin, copper eyes and bold lips. This is in line with Autumn/Winter trends, so we’ll be seeing this look on and off the runway over the coming months.”

‘The Spirit of the Black Dress’ opening gala consisted of not only amazing fashion and makeup but invite-only guests, which included both renowned and emerging designers, famed photographers and socialites, were treated to spectacular dancers and a live DJ as models strutted their very-Melbourne black dresses down the runway!
