Fairytale Mineral Goddess Catwalk

Kylie’s Professional’s Mineral Goddess makeup team recently had a fantastic day creating an Alice in Wonderland, fairytale inspired makeup look on gorgeous models at the Burleigh Heads, Fashion on James event.

Despite the rain laden clouds threatening, the vibe of the day was wonderfully upbeat and colourful, with red, blue and yellow being the most popular colours. "It was a day with great fashion looks on display all-round with a gorgeous array of clothes, stylish hair and of course our funky makeup. We absolutely love being involved with fashion parades as they are always hectic, always exciting and a great opportunity to push ourselves and to have some creative fun. This event was no exception!" said Kylie Eustace, director of Kylie's Professional.

To achieve the fairytale look the team chose to have a black, moving eyelid, softly blended into the crease line and Black upper lashes. They used the matt Bamboo eyeshadow over the brow bone with a tiny amount of White Light shimmer in the centre of the brow bone arch to highlight the brow bone.

They then used White Light on the lower eyelid and white lower eyelashes. This created a unique look that made the eyes pop. Just a hint of pink blush was used on the cheeks and for the lips they chose a deep plum outer lip with a bight red centre lip. This really lifted the lips and gave them a luscious quality.

"We had a team of 9 talented Mineral Goddess Artists, our regular artists along with some newer team members who love to use our Mineral Goddess range in their freelance businesses and were keen to join in on the action and fun.

"The event was well covered with many great photos to remember the day that can be viewed on our facebook page, with links to the very talented photographers. We were all very lucky the rain held back until the closing stages with some classic photos still being taken at the end of the day with the models using umbrellas," said Eustace.

Fashion on James organiser, Bethany McNamara is determined to make this event a regular one for the Gold Coast: "We were so excited to do such a fun parade in our hometown and encouraged by the way all the retailers, businesses and the local community pulled together to enthusiastically support this event."

Kylie's Professional are also passionate about sharing the message of chemical free makeup on the catwalk, to makeup artists and the public alike. They have many more events to come and love sharing the fun and artistic side of makeup.
