Bodyography goes burlesque

On Grand Prix Weekend, Saturday, March 27, Bodyography, in conjunction with Silk Road Bar & Lounge, hosted “A Risque Night of Burlesque” at Silk Road in Melbourne.

The event featured Ashley Roberts, formally of girl group Pussycat Dolls and Frankie Delgado, from reality TV show, The Hills.

Silk Road’s Upper Champagne lounge was transformed into a Hollywood-style set, with the Bodyography Artistic Team providing makeovers to many of the 1400 people who attended the night. Photographers were on hand to snap guests in front of the media board before hosts Ashley Roberts and Frankie Delgado arrived.

Roberts spent the night speaking with guests and making herself available for photographs. Frankie Delgado also mingled with the crowd, posing for photo opportunities and in the Bodyography set. The event was dedicated to Roberts, who started with the Pussycat Dolls when they were originally a burlesque act.

The raunchy evening attracted a lot of attention, from local celebrities to media, with Roberts’ fun-loving presence a highlight of the evening.

Bodyography Director, Rob Tamburro (pictured right, with Ashley Roberts), said:

“For Bodyography, it was a real pleasure working together with Silk Road. The night was a success with many of the Bodyography salons and fans attending, to see how Bodyography is perceived in the consumer eye and on such a grand stage. Special thanks to makeup artists Tanya Guccione, Daniel Carbone and Nikola Komada for their efforts on the night, transforming guests. The Bodyography area was so popular that extra security had to be called on to hold back people wanting to get made over.”
