On Sunday 25 August, guests of the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo Beauty Gala will have to opportunity to meet legendary media editor and business woman Ita Buttrose.
As the Beauty Gala’s guest of honour, she will be recognised for the contribution she’s made, not only to the beauty category, but also to the lives of women all across the country.
Buttrose – twice voted Australia’s most admired woman – holds an AO OBE and was this year awarded the title of 2013 Australian of the Year.
“We see Ita as an icon of success for women – in life and business alike. She has inspired them to believe they can do anything and be their very best as strong, modern women,” said Julia Erben, Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo event coordinator.
“It’s for this reason we’ve chosen to award Ita the title of Industry Icon at this year’s Inaugural Beauty Gala,” Julia added.
Following Ita’s honouring, the individual Hall of Fame Awards will be announced, which recognises artists, brands and thought leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the beauty industry.
The Great Gatsby-themed Beauty Gala event, being held at Darlinghurst’s Slide Lounge, is set to be a truly magical experience, as guests are transported back to the roaring 1920’s amidst drop waisted flapper dresses, rows upon rows of neck pearls, chic bob haircuts and the Charleston.
