The 2013 International Make-Up Artist Trade Show Sydney will be an inspiring weekend featuring tips, techniques and live demos from makeup maestros.
IMATS will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour from the 21-22 of September. Being the fifth installment of this event, the weekend will feature top-tier keynote speakers sharing their experiences working on location and behind the scenes.
Joel Harlow, Oscar winning makeup artist (films The Lone Ranger, Star Trek, Pirates of the Caribbean) will be bringing Hollywood glamour to IMATS as he discusses working with regular client Johnny Depp.
Editorial artist, author and educator Dale Dorning will also be sharing his tips alongside celebrity makeup artist Rae Morris.
Featured speakers include Rachel Montgomery, Becca Gilmartin and Eve Pearl.
As an annual destination for artists to stock up on their kits, IMATS is the perfect place to shop and discover the latest products. 30 industry-leading makeup and effects brands will be showcasing and selling their latest makeup products and tools.
Makeup pieces from film and television will be displayed in the IMATS Makeup Museum.
In the Battle of the Brushes competition this year, students will race against the clock to create a winning look for their chance to win trophies, cash and prizes. The theme this year for the beauty category will be The Elements, and for the character category, an Oz theme.
From next year onwards, IMATS Sydney will be held in the Royal Hall of Industries.
