The aim of the ‘A Celebration of Life’ Gala Ball is to raise funds and awareness for The Royal Children’s Hospital’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – a unit that provides highly specialised care to the sickest newborn infants from Australia and Pacific Islands.

Each year, over 7000 newborns are transferred to the NICU and over 40% of them undergo major surgery. Most of the specialist care needed by these infants is only available at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

The Gala Ball, now in its 11th year, is a star-studded event sponsored by Crown Limited to raise vital funds in order to support the NICU. This year’s Gala was held at The Palladium, Crown with the special theme ‘A Celebration of Life Italian Style’.

At this year’s Gala, Bodyography donated $3000 in products and services to the Gala to help raise funds for this cause. “Having walked through the Royal Children’s Hospital, I must say it is truly an amazing place where miracles are performed daily by those who work there,” said Rob Tamburro, director of Bodyography.
