How does it feel being portrayed in artist Jenny McCracken’s painting Faces of Shop Small

Jenny should be proud of her work; it really looks great and encompasses community. It’s nice to be portrayed in her work.

What do you think of the Shop Small Campaign? And how has it helped your business?

It’s great to be recognised and more so, great to be acknowledged for our efforts. Small businesses bring a sense of stability, gathering, harmony, union; with that comes, credibility, happiness, contentment and rapport. Our clients love using American Express as they receive more rewards; it’s great that they can get some money back when they spend with us!

Families, travellers and professionals of all age groups.

What are your three best tips for other beauty professionals out there thinking of starting their own business?

Only three?! Get up and exercise. Be good to you, be better to others. When your day begins it’s all about giving and creating. You set the tone and the tempo, so decide on how you want to be perceived. Great energy, means greater rewards. Practice, preach then teach. Do and tell! Earn respect, put in the time, commitment and energy, and so much more positivity will come back to you. Never have fear; fear holds us back, know who you are and what you are capable of and then just keep growing. Never stop learning and always listen. Be diligent to your beliefs; there is so much information out there so it’s important to be true to who you are and your values [in order to] maintain this within your team environment. Consistency is key to success.
