Another Successful Year for Cosmoprof Asia

Cosmoprof Asia 2013, held between November 13-15, celebrated its 18th year as the largest beauty trade event in the Asia Pacific.

01.Visitors Crowd

The 2013 Cosmoprof Asia saw a 10% rise in visitor numbers from 2012. More than 60,985 attended the annual trade show with significant growth in the number of visitors from countries such as USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, India, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The larger exhibition area was able to hold 2,168 exhibitors from a staggering 43 countries.

Joanna Mazzitelli, international training director of Thalgo Cosmetics commented on the event: “Cosmoprof Asia is as busy as ever and very professionally organised. We come here because it’s the biggest worldwide show in which beauty experts from all five continents come to visit. We will definitely return next year as we meet the right buyers and clients for our business”.

10.Business Discussion-1

The International Buyer Programme, now in its 7th consecutive year, was a central meeting place for exhibitors and prominent international buyers. This space facilitated direct contact between exhibitors and buyers from the UAE, Australia, China, India, Japan and New Zealand.

04.LoveNyNails seminar

This year, an exciting new Nail & Accessories area was created to cater to the booming market. 128 companies exhibited in this area and benefited from the International Nail Days (3 days dedicated to nail presentations). The International Nail Days included nail trends reports and competitions. On the 3rd day, more than 250 contestants entered the Hong Kong Professional Nailist Union Competition.

09.China Conference

The Cosmoprof Asia Spa Conference featured 13 seminars from industry leaders – seats were filled to full capacity as attendees were keen to hear about the future progression of their industry. Topic covered included operational and marketing aspects of a spa business, top 10 spa trends, and an in-depth analysis of the Japanese market.

“Cosmoprof Asia continues to expand and innovate – remaining the only event in the Asia Pacific region for the global beauty industry,” said Duccio Campagnoli, president of the BolognaFiere Group.
