Carla Zampatti Teams Up With Issada

Hand-selected by the fashion icon herself, Issada was the official makeup partner for Carla Zampatti’s exclusive debut of her Winter ’15 evening-wear collection.

It’s the stuff every beauty brand dreams of – being approached by a major fashion icon.

And for Issada cosmetics, that dream has just become a reality.

The stately Commonwealth Bank building on Edward Street was the grandiose setting for the debut of Carla Zampatti’s highly anticipated Winter ’15 collection, which saw the fashion label’s models adorned with makeup from Issada cosmetics.

Marking their second collaboration with the fashion legend, the Issada creative team custom-designed a bespoke makeup look for the occasion, in consultation with super-stylist Di Cant.

Trend-forecasting ahead for next winter and taking inspiration from international runways, the look featured an opulent metallic, bronze winged eye, paired with a customized flesh-coloured lip which played off the collection’s icy, cool palette to perfection.

After 50 years in business, Carla Zampatti has seen her fair share of runway makeup, so it was something of a momentous ocassion when the designer requested her own Issada makeover for the event.

“I loved the feel of the Issada product on my skin, and I loved the care that you took…you found out what I liked. I loved the subtlety of the colours and the blend. I think makeup only looks truly wonderful when it is perfectly blended, and Issada went to a lot of trouble to do that,” says Zampatti.

Issada CEO and founder, Fiona Neale said working with Australian fashion royalty Carla Zampatti for the second time round was a thrill.

“We are so thrilled that Carla came back to Issada for a second collaboration on Winter ’15 evening-wear; it means she loved what we created last time and coming from the grand dame of Australian fashion – that means everything!”
