Klara Cosmetics created fresh-faced English Roses backstage at the Betty Tran Solo Show.
Inspired by romance, elegance and sophistication, Betty Tran is one of Australia’s biggest rising stars in the couture sphere. The Betty Tran show this year paraded a series of classic ballgowns in red, white and cobalt blue. Mixing renaissance shapes with oriental textures, the ‘Le Fleaur Atelier’ collection was a spectacular display of Betty’s dream-like craftsmanship.
The makeup backstage was fronted by Klara Sabotkoski, creator of Klara Cosmetics. Together with her team, Klara created a soft and effortless look to bring out the romanticism of the gowns. The models were given a fresh and luminous complexion, teamed with English Rose cheeks and a nude lip.
“The girls are luminous, beautiful and reflective,” said Klara, “they are full of inner and external beauty walking down the catwalk. We wanted to create a dimension of white crystals on the face.”
“It is almost like back in the 18th century when girls didn’t have much make-up on. They would highlight the cheeks, the inner lips and around the sides of the eyes.”
“We wanted to keep that ‘teenage eyebrow before waxing’ look, so we gave them more extension and texture. We have put a small amount of glitter on the lids, just in the middle where the eyeballs are we have created a white and diamond shadow. For the lips, we have used a light amount of lipstick with a touch of shimmer.”
