The Matrix arrives in Oz

Advanced Cosmeceuticals has launched the Imperium Matrix – an innovative Fractionated Radiofrequency system delivering non-surgical treatments with minimal discomfort and minimal downtime – into Australia.

Created by Brera Medical Technologies, a leading Italian manufacturer of “effective and affordable” non-surgical cosmetic equipment, the device was launched in Europe in 2013 with great success.

Advanced Cosmeceuticals managing director Catherine Biedermann says the device is ideal for beauty salons as it is easy to use but nonetheless produces “outstanding and long-lasting results when treating micro-roughness, acne scars, wrinkles and enlarged pores and skin laxity”.

“It synergistically combines three non-invasive modalities to help remodel the epidermis and dermis and help stimulate muscles for a complete lifting and volumising effect with minimal downtime or discomfort.”

The three modalities are:

Imperium FPC
(Fractional Pulsed Crown) is a new fractional handpiece with 225 micro-actuators on an area of 1.2cm square. The handpiece is equipped with a pressure control cushioning system that creates micro channels at various depths in a uniform way with minimal discomfort, downtime and without the use of anaesthesia. The FPC Papillary handpiece acts simultaneously on the epidermis and dermis without causing bleeding and side effects.

Mesowave implements the technology of high frequency ultrasound to allow the delivery of active ingredients via sonophoresis. This penetration is supported by the creation of micro channels from the FPC handpiece.

RF Endolift is a next-generation device that emits bipolar radiofrequency for collagen and elastin stimulation combined with passive contraction of the supporting muscles. This technique, defined as Diatermocontraction, improves muscle tone and promotes a ‘lifting’ effect.

Catherine says a single Imperium Matrix treatment results in “a volumising natural filler effect, non-invasive lifting effect and a reduction in lines and wrinkles”.

“No anaesthesia is required as patients experience minimal downtime and discomfort with no bleeding or burning, although patients may experience slight redness post-treatment.”
