It’s personal: a licence to play music

“Beauty and fashion actually plays a big part in the creative and songwriting process for me.  Whenever I’m writing a song, I automatically see the video including the beauty and fashion surrounding the aesthetic. Feeling good about my skin health and appearance allows the performer in me to come alive” Samantha Jade

You need a licence (or some other form of permission) to have music playing in your salon. The permission can be through a licence from OneMusic. This licence is an annual investment in the music creators who craft the beautiful songs you have playing and who make up the OneMusic membership organisation.

The licence fees you pay go directly back to the music creators as royalty income. Licences start from $85 a year – that’s 23 cents a day.

You may be surprised to know that holding an account with a streaming service such as Spotify and Apple Music does not legally count as permission. You still need a OneMusic licence. There’s more on our website to help you understand why as well as how we educate businesses when we discover music playing.
