The Dermal Diary launches teen line

Of all the skin conditions that customers seek help with, acne and pimples can be by far, the most impactful of a person’s confidence and self-esteem.

This is what led skin therapist and principal of Sydney’s The Dermal Diary, Isabella Loneragan, to create her new range of skincare specifically for teens and those experiencing persistent acne and pimples.

“There is a correlation between acne, breakouts, congested skin and mental illness, like depression,” Isabella says. “The teenage years play a huge role in the formation of our senses of self, having to deal with skin diseases like acne can be hugely impactful on a teenager’s self-esteem.”

Isabella has had huge success in treating acne and problem skin, and has now taken it a step further by creating her own products to complement her in-clinic treatments.

The Dream Mask
Packed with active clinically proven ingredients that will revitalise, nourish, protect and reverse damage done during the day by UV rays and pollution, the mask is coupled with a serum, or used on its own, it’s the perfect option for overnight skin health. The star Ingredients in this product amongst others are:

  • Lactococcus Ferment Lysate aims to increase stimulation of skin’s renewal processes – both accelerating it and improving its quality. It can be used in formulation concepts to accelerate the recovery of skin’s barrier function, regardless of type of impairment (environmental stress, ageing).

  • Bifida Ferment Lysate acts as a regenerating / revitalising agent, repairing agent and anti-ageing agent. Bifida Ferment Lysate  is a lysate of bifidobacteria consisting of bacteria metabolism products, cytoplasm fractions, and cell wall components. It increases the repair rate of UV-irradiated keratinocytes and of living skin. Counteracts premature skin ageing. It aids in the prevention of light caused damage within the epidermal and dermal cell region.

Multivitamin Nourish
The Dermal Diary have a number of great eye creams but arguably their best night cream is the new Multivitamin Nourish, which has Stearic acid in it which heals impaired barrier functions. This luxurious moisturiser with rich ingredients such as Vitamins C and E, for deeper nourishing hydration. This includes Stearic Acid, this is a very high-quality fatty acid that assists in repairing and maintaining the skins barrier function. Suitable for ageing/dry skin types.

Refining Tonic
The current stressful situation is causing a lot of people to break out quite badly so to conquer those bad breakouts The Dermal Diary’s new Refining Tonic is incredible for refining skin texture especially unclogging pores – its applied with medical gauze. The tonic dissolves the dead skin and plugs and the gauze grips onto the dead skin and wipes the cells away.

The teen range was developed to deal with acne and problem skin.

The Dermal Diary Private Collection – Teen
This collection features the ‘Teen Clean’ a lactic soap-free cleansing gel that gently cleanses and softly exfoliates breakout prone skin. The second step is the ‘Teen Tone’, a toner that assists with keeping pores unobstructed, reducing active breakouts and blackheads, best applied with medical gauze which is also available in The Dermal Diary shop under “Accessories”.

The ‘Teen Relief’ is a Vitamin C Relief serum that decreases inflammation caused by P-Acnes bacteria, increases brightness, smoothes and hydrates.

In addition, the collection also features ‘Teen Regulate‘,  which is full of Vitamin A  that helps regulates oil production and rejuvenates the skin by stimulating new cell production as well as brightening, exfoliating, and reducing scarring caused by pimples.

The Teen Boost’ then offers a Light moisturiser containing Vitamin B designed to boost the barrier function (the skin’s resistance to bacterial assault) of the skin resulting in rapid healing.
