Prime Location: Nail Boutique Le M

Situated in Sydney CBD, you’d think Nail Boutique Le M would be easy to spot but located in the Dymocks Building the salon can't be seen from the street. Nevertheless, salon manager Junko Sato says the salon is in a prime spot with many of her customers working in the surrounding buildings or hearing about it through word-of-mouth.

Nail Boutique Le M is a CND exclusive salon and Shellac nail colour is the most popular service. Junko says she likes Shellac because it gives a gorgeous shiny finish without damaging nails and is easy to change colour. With busy working women making up the majority of clientele, Shellac offers the quick application and fashionable colours they desire.

A testament to the success of Nail Boutique Le M, Junko has recently opened another smaller salon in the same building called Fleurette Beauty. While Nail Boutique Le M is decorated in a traditional style, the new salon has a contemporary look with wooden floors and fitments and is likely to attract different clientele. Fleurette Beauty not only does CND but Bio Sculpture Gel and OPI. Junko says the different brands suit different customer requirements.

With 10 staff in total working across both salons, Junko says that education is one of her top priorities and she only employs experienced technicians. All new staff members receive a minimum of 4-weeks intensive training in using the salons' products including CND and Bio Sculpture Gel. Junko says she would train an inexperienced technician for up to 6 months or longer, until she is confident they can assist customers alone. Junko also does training courses for non-staff members including nail art.

The new salon also has an eyelash extension service using Real Mink and Silk. Junko has employed Ai Okano to perform the eyelash extensions and says she is the best eyelash technician she has ever come across in Sydney!
