Eden Spa won the APAA (Association of Professional Aesthetics Australia) National Awards of Excellence “Best New Establishment 2012” and was a finalist in the “National Spa of the Year” category at the APAA Australian National Awards of Excellence Gala Dinner, Crown Plaza, Gold Coast on Saturday, 22nd September 2012.
Eden Spa is located in the historic market town of Camden, an hour south-west of Sydney. It was opened in October 2011 by 25 year-old mother, Ashleigh Kajan.

"Our submission took four months to complete and over 200 pages later, the submission included how the spa was established, obstacles that we overcome, our occupation health and safety procedures and treatment procedures, employee manual that all employees receive when employed at Eden Spa, it also includes are business plan and marketing plan along with past and future employee training programs," said Ashleigh who was delighted with the achievement.
"Passion, motivation and the desire to change our client's lives are the true ingredients to Eden Spa's success. I hope this award is the beginning of many more to come," she added.
IThe APAA was established in the early 1950s by a group of dedicated beauty therapists, many of whom with European qualifications, who would get together and discuss issues of the profession’s public image and ethics, and so the plight to establish a professional body was birthed. For over 5 years informal meetings were held leading to the establishment of a strong network of passionately dedicated aestheticians. This dedicated group pioneered the way for the first Australian Association to be established with a Constitution and A Code of Ethical Practice in October 1957. Today, with representation in every State, the APAA is recognised for its commitment to education and raising the standards within its membership so that the public can be assured they are in the hands of competent professionals.
