Cocoon Medical Spa debuts in Bali

Bringing advanced wellness and cosmetic procedures in a unique Balinese spa.

Cocoon Medical Spa, Bali's largest cosmetic and wellness centre, has opened its doors to the public. Located on Sunset Road, Legian, it is the first international cosmetic and wellness spa in Indonesia.

Cocoon Medical Spa is a combination of stunning architecture, internationally trained doctors and the latest medical equipment and technologies with Australian management. "Our whole focus is on creating the best visible results for the client in a serene Balinese setting," says Louise Cogan, Australian founder.

Louise, who was the founder of Gorgeous Getaways, which brought over 5,000 international medical patients to Thailand and Malaysia, now hopes to replicate her success in Indonesia. "Slowly people are seeing that Indonesia is improving in quality healthcare, and will be a serious competitor to Malaysia and Thailand for medical tourism."

At Cocoon, the strategy was to start with high investment in training. All registered doctors and nurses have been trained by Australian and British doctors to bring the level of their skills, techniques and communication to international standards.

The key point of difference with any other cosmetic clinic is the holistic approach – combining wellness treatments together with cosmetic. Unique, holistic packages combine both cosmetic (such as Botox) and wellness treatments (such as Vitamin IV). The goal is to cleanse and balance the inner body, making cosmetic results more effective and the results longer lasting.

All treatments are done in a beautiful Balinese environment – a calm, relaxing 1,000sqm space with "pods in a cocoon" concept.
