Learning: The supplier and the clinic owner need to be both proactive in seeking out the information behind the trends, to do the research, but also be open minded enough to be reactive in this consumer-led world.

Otto Mitter from Ex-Import Niche Products said social media was a huge part of all business these days, especially for them as they’re in the lash and brow industry.

Bianca Polinelli from Just Lashes said it took a couple of months of requests for lash lifts from clients before they brought Elleebana on board so they could perform the service.

Pene Timberlake from Syneron Candela said good skin never went out of fashion.

Emma Hobson from Dermalogica said you had to consider if it actually fitted with the business brand image of who you were, and what your business stood for.

Anh Hoang from Le Beauty said you had believe in what you were learning.

Karla McDiarmid from Macquarie Medi Spa said they started offering lash lifts because everybody was asking for it, but they won’t offer teeth whitening is it doesn’t fit with their brand.
