The stylish new salon is run by qualified beauty therapists accompanied by Sydney TAFE beauty therapy students in their final stage of the course. The salon will help students gain hands-on real life experience in a genuine salon environment. Students will be working in the salon (unpaid) under the direct supervision of a teacher. Customers can purchase treatments with a student operator at a reduced price when available.

Deborah Hyam, Sydney TAFE Faculty Director, Tourism, Hospitality and Service Industries said: “The new Limelight Beauty and Spa Salon was created to give Sydney TAFE students the most authentic training possible. We want our graduates to succeed by allowing them to develop the technical skills required to be excellent therapists in beauty and wellness. We also want to give them the attributes needed to run a successful business with excellent customer skills and at the high level expected in this fast growing service industry sector.”

The Limelight Beauty and Spa is now open to the public and will be open Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm with longer opening hours planned in the coming months.
