Skinology wins national business award

Skinology from Springwood in Queensland has won the national Beauty Services award at the recent Australian 2009 Small Business Champion Awards. Skinology is owned and operated by well known beauty expert Gay Wardle.

The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held in Sydney on November 14, attended by approximately 750 guests.

Mr Steve Loe, Managing Director of Precedent Productions and founder of the awards, said: “I congratulate all the winners and finalists who entered the awards as they displayed passion, innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit.”

Following Skinology’s win at the state level, the salon went on to win Australian Small Business Champion Beauty Services 2009. A proud Gay Wardle said: “I have to thank my amazing team for their continual support in growing the business. They are a sensational team of professionals who really deliver exceptional service every time. Without their dedication, Skinology would not have won this award. My heartfelt thanks girls.”

She added: “I have to thank my good friends Tina Viney and Caroline Nelson. Tina has been a wonderful and giving mentor to me and so many others in our beautiful industry. Her professional support and guidance has never wavered; she is my guru. And I would also like to thank Caroline who has helped and encouraged me to systemise the business and develop my team. Her business tools have been an enormous help over the years they have enabled Skinology’s team service delivery to become seamless.”
