First edition of Spa and Beauty Guide to Safety and Hygiene released

A brand-new guide to safety and hygiene has been launched for the spa and beauty industry in Australia. The inaugural edition of the guide has been produced by Pro- Visual Publishing in conjunction with the Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia, in order to ensure the most relevant information is provided to the industry.

It is hoped by all involved in the production of the guide, that it will become an invaluable safety and hygiene resource and address the major safety concerns within the industry. The guide provides up-to-date, relevant information, which all staff can easily refer back to when necessary.

Information on employee entitlements, workplace sanitation, personal hygiene and waxing safety is all included in the first edition; these are all topics that everyone involved in the industry should be aware of. Conveniently split into two separate, smaller charts, the guide can also be easily displayed in small areas.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors of the inaugural edition of the Spa and Beauty Guide to Safety and Hygiene, who have made it possible for the very first edition to be produced and also distributed to the industry free of charge. We hope that this initiative will play a major part in making the industry safer for all involved.” said John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.

The guide is distributed free-of-charge to beauty salons, day spas, manicurists, tanning centres, TAFEs, universities and colleges around Australia. The aim of the guide is to increase awareness of safety, hygiene and other general issues plaguing the industry.
