Cryomed Aesthetics has released the TESLAChair onto the market, highlighting its success in treating incontinence in a non-invasive, dignified manner.
The TESLAChair was developed for treating weakened pelvic floor muscles and urinary incontinence using special Functional Magnetic Stimulation (FMS) technology. The pulsed magnetic field generated by the device causes the muscles of the pelvic floor to contract. FMS also helps patients with sexual dysfunction and chronic pain in the pelvic region and lumbar spine. The magnetic stimulation results in increased strength and endurance of pelvic region and pelvic floor muscles.
The process itself is simple: patients are seated, fully clothed, for the 30-minute treatment. Clients are encouraged to concentrate on muscle contraction during the stimulation as this facilitates the implementation of active learning exercises.
But how does it work? FMS delivers up to three Tesla, creating a special magnetic field which generates a pulse of current inside the electro magnetic mechanism. This induces a current that triggers the motor nerve system of the body, stimulating the targeted muscles to contact, thereby helping to boost circulation and nutrition.
For effective treatment, Creamed Aesthetics suggests six to ten treatments, performed two or three times each week.
In addition to urinary incontinence, Cryomed Aesthetics claims the TESLAChair can be effective in the treatment of faecal incontinence, faster rehabilitation after surgery, after childbirth, and for some sexual dysfunction and chronic pelvic and lower back pain.
