Clear Complexions rolls out educational roadshow

Clear Complexions, a non-invasive medical aesthetics brand with three clinics in Canberra and three in Sydney, is launching its first Ageing with Confidence roadshow in Sydney this week to educate clients on cosmetic treatments.

Launching in its Mosman clinic this Wednesday, the roadshow will discuss the best ways to address the signs of ageing while “shedding light on three of Clear Complexions’ most popular treatments ‒ Ultraformer III, Clear & Brilliant and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).

Suzie Hoitink, general manager of clinical services at Clear Complexions, says the roadshow will help guests not only better understand how exactly to use cosmetic treatments to support healthy skin, but how to seek the right help.

“Many people are looking for advice on how to get their skin healthy again for the long-term and there is a plethora of technology and medical-grade skincare that can make a dramatic difference,” she says.

“The trick is knowing what treatment is right for you and who is best qualified to deliver that treatment.

“Currently in the NSW non-invasive medical aesthetics industry, there’s no legislation on the level of qualification or training therapists require, so people need to be really careful where they are going and who they are taking their advice from,” she says.

“At Clear Complexions, we only have nurses and doctors treating our clients and we only use approved equipment.”

Although cosmetic treatments have “never been more popular” with anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers amongst the most popular choices, Suzie says the treatments are best used as part of a wider treatment plan.

“I’m constantly shocked by how many people think looking after their skin involves using only anti-wrinkle injections and fillers,” she says.

“In my opinion, it’s all about balance.

“Antiwrinkle injections and fillers are great for weakening wrinkles and restoring lost volume, but for the best results, we recommend combining them with laser and supportive light based therapies.”

Suzie, who founded Clear Complexions in 2005, is confident the roadshows, which will move to the company’s Balmain clinic on May 23 before finishing up at its Macquarie clinic on May 30, will help empower clients.

Clear Complexions was acquired by ASX-listed retailer Vita Group last year.

The company specialises in “non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injectables, chemical facial peels, dermal fillers and laser and light-based therapies”.
