Sydney’s sustainably minded beauty insiders started the week with a beautiful breakfast spread and coffees overlooking the green expanse of The Domain and sunlit CBD skyline from the cosy confines of The Butler in Potts Point. They gathered to celebrate the launch of the Professional Beauty sustainable beauty issue (May-June 2021) with an educational networking event featuring guest speaker Paul Frasca, an internationally award-winning hairdresser and the Co-Founder of Sustainable Salons, beauty products from high-performance beauty brand Babor and locally made CanGro lash serums for all guests.
Professional Beauty welcomed guests from skincare brand founders to PR directors who were treated to an inspiring talk by Frasca, an engaging speaker, who skillfully brought to life the topic of sustainability in the beauty industry, addressing everything from foil recycling in salons to excess packaging. The biggest takeaways from his talk? That the conscious consumer is fast becoming the biggest spending in the market, and that sustainability is good for both business and the planet.
The breakfast ended with a prize draw for a luxury hamper filled with the coveted Doctor Babor Cleanformance range and a final coffee before everyone headed off to their respective workdays inspired.
Demand was so strong and guests so keen to find out when the next event was scheduled for, that our next Meet & Mingle networking event is already in the works. Subscribe to our newsletter to find out first and reserve a space before they’re gone.
