On Thursday QED Skincare hosted a private lunch at Double Bay’s Cafe Sur L’Avenue. Guests were treated to cocktails and canapes while they learnt all about the brand, brainchild of pharmacist Shoshanna Eisner.
During her time working in pharmacy, Eisner identified a need for fragrance free, tailored skincare that provided solutions for sensitized skin of all ages and skin-types (after all, skin sensitivity isn’t a skin type – its a condition that occurs in oily, dry and combination skin). Attendees were encouraged to try Eisner’s “no-rinse” cleansing technique and explore the full suite of QED cleansers, which they took home along with the super luxe QED body scrub.
Eisner believes that cleansing is a step too often dismissed when caring for the complexion. At the core of her range are four no-rinse cleansers for a variety of skin-types, from oily, dry, dehydrated and ageing.
Another welcome quirk to the QED range is that while all products are made fragrance-free, customers who crave a sensory skincare experience have the option of selecting their own fragrance to be blended with their treatments. Guests had their products customised on their spot, choosing from vials of skin-safe essential oils at an apothecary style counter – an option also available via the brands website.
