Professional-only skincare brand Aspect DR has recently undergone a makeover, flaunting revised packaging and formulations to reflect the brand’s dedication to innovation.
Held at Sydney’s iconic Ovolo Woolloomooloo, beauty media gathered over lunch to hear from the Aspect DR team. The event was hosted by the brand’s Australian distributor, Advanced Skin Technology (AST).
Beauty media guests were treated to a two-course lunch of alternating mains – a corn fed chicken supreme, and lamb shoulder. Desserts included an assortment of macrons and cakes. All guests left with a goodie bag containing products from the revised Aspect DR range.

AST Marketing Manager, Gabby Bartolo was joined by Aspect DR’s Product Innovation Lead, Selina Mithen for a one-on-one discussion surrounding the distinguishing features of the Aspect DR range. Selina, who commenced her career as a beauty therapist, also took on training in naturopathy and cosmetic chemistry. In her current role, she oversees the development of Aspect DR’s active-rich formulations, taking a proactive approach to anti-ageing and longevity.
The team behind the brand have a vested interest in biohacking, crafting ingredient cocktails designed to work synergistically to “arrest the ageing process”, Selina explained. The goal of regular product use is to slow down the rate of ageing in a non-aggressive way, guests were told.
The pair ran through key ingredients in each of the Aspect DR range, focusing on the Multi B Plus Adaptogen Support serum (inclusive of Mushroom Extract and peptides to reduce skin stress), Optiboost Serum (a serum-moisturiser hybrid which utilises Ectoin and Beta-Glucan for skin recovery – ideal for post-procedure use), and the Nurturing Cream Cleanser (a surfactant-free and lipid-rich formulation). A new Ceramide Serum – made to target fine lines and wrinkles – was also unveiled to guests. The product contains four peptides, including copper, alongside a biomimetic emulsifier.
All SKUS in the new-and-improved Aspect DR range are designed to manage cellular senescence (i.e. signs of micro-inflammation), which can lead to indications such as skin laxity and pigmentation.
According to Gabby and Selina, Aspect DR product packaging was also revised with a more sustainable approach.
The brand remains exclusive to salon and clinic partners, and sold under the guidance of a trained skin professional.
