In February, Victoria-based salon supply company Salon First hosted its fourth Big Beauty Live event. The event was held in-house at Salon First’s Dandenong South headquarters.

According to Salon First General Manager, Jeanette McConville, Big Beauty Live’s 2025 event was “a complete sell-out, proving just how eager beauty professionals are for high-quality education and industry connection.”
“Designed to be both accessible and impactful, the event was kept affordable to ensure as many salon owners, therapists, and beauty entrepreneurs as possible could attend.”
The day of talks featured talks by seven speaks from across the industry landscape. Topics ranged from passive income strategies and taking salon businesses online, to lash lifting, brow lamination, and salon photography. Attendees experienced live demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and even had the chance to get professional headshots on the day.

Captured Image Branding spoke on personal branding photography and how to raise your profile. Elleebana spoke on lash lifting and brow lamination. Karen Geiszler spoke on how to leverage your consultations for recurring revenue streams with Memberships and skin journeys. Caronlab spoke on the superheroes of waxing. “The buzz in the room was undeniable,” Jeanette said, “and the overwhelmingly positive feedback confirmed that Big Beauty Live delivered exactly what the industry needed – a space to learn, connect, and grow. With such a strong response, Salon First is already looking ahead to making the next event even bigger and better.”
