Beauty Expo Australia 2021 cancelled

Beauty Expo Australia 2021 has been cancelled after being postponed until October 2021.

With the COVID-19 outbreaks bringing states and metropolitan areas to a standstill with lockdowns and new restrictions, Reed Exhibitions has made the tough call to reschedule the return of Beauty Expo Australia until 2022.

“2021 has been quite a roller coaster for everyone and understand the level of planning involved to both participate and attend our events, so we know that this will be disappointing news for everyone involved” says Flyn Roberts, Event Director of Beauty Expo Australia.

Roberts says “For most of us the last few months have been a mix of emotions. Last weekend would normally have seen us gathered together in Sydney, reconnecting with friends and customers and creating new connections. Instead, our thoughts go out to those affected by the current Covid-19 outbreaks.

After monitoring the unfolding situation in NSW and across the country, and in close consultation with both exhibitors and retailers, it has unfortunately become clear that the current circumstances have made it extremely difficult to confidently and safely plan for the upcoming Beauty Expo Australia event.”

Reed Exhibitions has moved Beauty Expo Australia from October 2021 to August 2022.

“The 2021 event was shaping up to be one of the best yet,” says Roberts, “and while we are disappointed to not be able to unite this amazing industry for another year, we know that Beauty Expo Australia will be back bigger and better on the 20-21 August 2022 at the ICC Sydney.

We thank all our exhibitors and retailers for their patience, positive words of encouragement and unwavering support. But I’d also particularly like to thank our team who have faced each challenge head on and not given up the fight until it became out of our control. Their passion for our events and community is inspiring and I know we will now move forward to brighter things in 2022”.

Roberts acknowledged how hard our industry has been hit with current closures, especially in NSW and Victoria but says “We also know that this is a resilient industry and we will do all we can to help support connection within the professional beauty industry until we can meet face to face again.”

Reed Exhibitions will be in touch with all ticket holders shortly regarding the refund process.
