The Laser Lounge’s cosmetic nurse injectors and head of cosmetic services Dr Amit Kapur will commence PRP treatments from October 14th.

PRP is a cosmetic skin rejuvenation treatment that works to stimulate the inflammatory cascade, heal the body and encourage healthy cell renewal. During a PRP treatment, platelet rich plasmas are injected into the mid/deep dermis layer of the skin using a technique similar to many types of filler treatments.

PRP involves gently collecting blood (8 – 16mls) which is then spun using a centrifuge – this process separates the plasma and platelet portion of the blood with the assistance of a separator gel as a special filler. The platelet is then injected back into the skin to induce collagen production and cell rejuvenation.

“Our team are super excited at this new offering. PRP is a great alternative for those who seek a more natural cosmetic alternative in managing their skin concerns and we cannot wait to combine the benefits of PRP with all our existing skin rejuvenation treatments,” said Gita Coorey, director of The Laser Lounge.

Dr Kapur explains why they have chosen PRP treatments to be a part of their menu: “PRP is known for slowing down the ageing process on treated areas, and clients can expect to see noticeable improvements within a few weeks post-treatment. I do recommend a series of treatments and enhancing results by investing in good cosmeceutical corrective skincare”.
