Making our clients feel good is nine tenths of our business and we all know what an hour (or three) of treatment can do for our clients wellbeing. So it makes sense that leading UK spa hotel, Ragdale Hall, in northern Leicestershire, has collaborated with natural British skincare brand Jennifer Young to offer relaxing skin and massage treatments for women and men living with or in remission from cancer.

Jennifer Young is a completely natural and organic skincare and cosmetics brand formulated specifically to tackle the sensitive skin issues of women and men living with cancer. Cancer and cancer treatment can leave skin highly sensitised, dry and prone to irritation. To combat these issues, the brand offers bespoke skincare to tackle individual skin needs and accommodate personal taste. It’s highly specialised, targeted and result-driven skincare at it’s most natural, and founder, Jennifer Young, has the credentials to back up the claims. She is an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine, an experienced micro-biologist, a qualified and practicing nutritional therapist, a qualified aromatherapist, beauty therapist and product formulator. She also lectures on nutrition, skin care and product formulation.

This is the first time Jennifer Young products and treatments, which have been developed  specifically for Ragdale Hall, have been offered in a spa setting.

“We were impressed with Jennifer’s product range and the research behind it,” says Ragdale Hall’s senior treatments manager, Hannah Farrell Wall. “Her products have produced some exceptional results, [which] fits with Ragdale’s philosophy of offering our guests the highest quality we can.”

The new treatments begin 1st October and will include the 75-minute Indulgent Journey, which includes a massage and a facial; the 50-minute Comforting Body Massage; the 50-minute Gently Calming Facial; as well as the Soothing Pedicure and Soothing Manicure.

“Jennifer will be directly involved in training our therapists,” says Hannah. “We believe it will make our team one of the best in the country for this specific type of treatment.”

Jennifer is also the founder of Beauty Despite Cancer, an online support network set up to provide support for those living with the illness. “I am proud to be working closely with such an innovative, motivated and professional team [at Ragdale Hall],” says Jennifer. “I know that many people will benefit from this great new range of treatments using my specialised products.”
